Bible Study:
Tom Mark has started an Authentic Life bible study. It will be bi-weekly at his apartment in Naperville. The beginning of Genesis was discussed at the first meeting on Nov 2. The next meeting is Nov 16. Come to hang out and learn more about the book of our faith! For more information email Tom .
SOCIAL JUSTICE: Live out the Gospel message.
You don’t need to look far for ways to make a difference. Homelessness, peace and social justice issues, poverty, community organizing, hunger, respect for life, human rights, racial inequality and fair education are a few examples of issues needing action. Catholic Social Teachings challenge us to engage with the world and Be the difference. St. Thomas Office of Social Justice does exactly that on a daily basis. SPIRITUAL DIRECTION: Do you know where God is working in your life? A Spiritual Director can help.
Spiritual direction, part of the Christian tradition for centuries, is a prayerful relationship between a spiritual director (a person gifted and formally prepared in the ministry of spiritual direction) and a directee. Spiritual direction, which is not to be confused with therapy or counseling, can help those who yearn for a deeper relationship with God, those who desire to grow in their ability to discern and respond to God’s actions in their lives. Monthly meetings with a spiritual director can help develop a sense of inner peace and direction in life and cultivate an ongoing spiritual practice.
