We all welcome words that awaken our sleeping minds, stir our tired feelings, and inspire our complacency to action. In the history of the Christian tradition, many creative wordsmiths have done this service by writing prayer poems. These are prayers in poetic form or poetry that embodies faith perspectives. When we read them, our faith comes alive. We will read and reflect on some of these prayer poems, articulating their spiritual meanings for our contemporary worlds.
Join us Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. to enjoy a day with noted theologian and storyteller, Jack Shea as he presents “Faith Coming Alive: Prayer Poems in Action.” Cost is $35 (includes Continental Breakfast & Lunch).
