(St. Thomas has a twinning relationship with St. Agnes Parish, located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.)
It’s time for the annual coat and blanket collection for the Lakota people on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Based on conversations with our contacts on the reservation, blankets and sleeping bags will go to Saint Agnes Church and winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves for men, women, and children will go to Sacred Heart Church. Sending the items to two parishes on the reservation allows us to reach more people and deepen our connection to the entire reservation.
The collection will start on Saturday, August 24 and continue until Sunday, September 29. Delivery to the reservation will be the weekend of October 5-6. Place your donations of blankets, sleeping bags, and winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves in the designated bin in the Gathering Area. Thanking you in advance for your generosity!
