In November, the next Haiti Twinning Medical Mission will travel to the St. Thomas Twinning Parish (Ste. Marie-Madeleine) in Duchity, Haiti. The eleven team members will pay their own expenses (including travel, room and board, translator fees, etc.) in addition to giving up their time to serve the mountain village community. During their week in Duchity, they will see upwards of 700 people.
You can help:
Over the counter medications are needed. Donations can be placed in the bin in the Gathering Area.
- Most Needed for Infants: Tylenol, vitamins, powdered formula.
- For children: Tylenol, ibuprofen, chewable vitamins, cold and cough medications.
- For Adults: Tylenol, ibuprofen, multi-vitamins, tums, zantac, omeprazole, cold and cough medications
Don’t forget the suitcases…
Large rolling suitcases (no carry on sizes) are needed to transport the medications and other medical supplies. They can be brought to the Outreach and Social Justice Office.
Donations to support the purchase of other medications can be made to St. Thomas (OSJ) with ‘Medical Mission” in the memo.
