Updates from the Diocese of Joliet

  • Please note that Church parking lot activity of any sort is banned until the stay-at-home directive is lifted. The Governor’s directive is intended to keep people at home. Ultimately, the goals we all envision of reducing the spread of the virus and returning to normalcy will occur soonest with this restriction in place. During this time it is important to recognize that our joining Christ in the daily carrying of the Cross is expressed in this manner.
  • With the state of Illinois under a stay-at-home order through the end of April, Bishop Richard Pates, our Apostolic Administrator has issued a decree dispensing the faithful in the dioceses from their Easter obligations due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
