Full-time Director, Jordan River Farm Center for Retreat, Service and Ecology located in Hopkins Park

The Diocese of Joliet is seeking to hire a Director for Jordan River Farm Center for Retreat, Service & Ecology located in Hopkins Park.  Jordan River Farm is a newly developed service retreat center and community garden of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet, IL. The center will consist of a live-in intentional community who will host retreats for volunteer groups to do service projects. The community will function under the cornerstones of: prayer, community, service, and simplicity.  The Director is responsible for all aspects of the center and its programs, including but not limited to, the supervision of Jordan River Farm staff and volunteers, coordinating ongoing staff development, implementing policies and procedures, maintaining accurate reports of income & expenses, promote the financial viability of Jordan River Farm, annual fundraising planning, and researching and writing grants. Full-time Office Administrator/Receptionist, Sacred Heart Parish, Lombard, Illinois

Sacred Heart Parish in Lombard is seeking to hire an office administrator/receptionist. This person will be responsible for staffing the front desk, answering phones and the main door, maintaining sacramental and parishioner records, gathering information for upcoming sacramentals, secretarial assistance for the pastor and parish ministries, managing the parish calendar, and preparing the parish bulletin.  Candidates must have good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team in coordination with parish staff. This position requires the desire and ability to support the mission of the Catholic Church. Office experience is required, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Parish Data System. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

This is a full-time benefited position with 35 hours weekly (9:00 am–4:00 pm) with the possibility of flexibility in schedule.

Devout Catholic Substitute Teachers

Each Catholic school in the Diocese of Joliet is successfully implementing face-to-face instruction that honors the safety measures outlined in within its School Reopening Plan. As a result, several Catholic educators are needed to serve as substitute teachers at the Pre-School – Grade 12 levels. The substitute teacher candidate must love children and hold either a current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or an Illinois Substitute License.
