“Holy listening, that is, listening in the context of the healing presence of God, means hearing what a person tells us and letting their story unfold at their pace. It affirms a person’s dignity and value. Their story is a sacred story.”

People with mental illness and their families may feel isolated from their faith community and thus isolated from God. The joy of life is knowing we are loved by God and one another. The Lamberts will speak from their over 30 years experience of ministry with and for people with mental illness and their families.

Don’t worry—I am with you. Don’t be afraid—I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will support you with my right hand that brings victory. Isaiah 41: 10
