Middle School Faith Formation
Our Program Helps Create Lifelong Believers
The St. Thomas the Apostle Middle School Religious Education program helps students in grades 6 through 8 grow in their relationship with God, deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith, and discover the importance of community.
The program fosters spiritual growth, faith knowledge, and active participation in parish life.
The journey of growing in faith continues essential Catholic teachings—Scripture, the sacraments, Church history, and moral living. Each session encourages curiosity, discussion and reflection, creating a welcoming space where young people can explore their faith and ask questions.
Dedicated catechists and youth ministers bring energy and compassion, making faith formation interactive, meaningful, and relevant to everyday life.
- St. Thomas invites and welcomes all those with the desire to know and follow God.
- Family faith opportunities are also offered throughout the year, as well as social and service opportunities.
- Volunteers are required to take Protecting God’s Children and have a background check.
Parents are seen as essential partners in the process, with opportunities to share in their child’s faith journey through family events, liturgies, and service activities.
Our Middle School Religious Education Program helps teens learn not only to love God, but to live in God’s image in everyday life.
A key part of the program connects learning to real-life experiences. Students take part in service activities, parish events, and small group projects that show how faith comes alive through action. Retreats, reflection opportunities and peer discussions help students recognize their God-given gifts and understand how they can serve others in the spirit of Christ.
