A Note from the Pastor
In an effort to provide a safe and responsive environment, the St. Thomas staff have reviewed and updated the Church guidelines for responding to emergencies during Mass. Here at St. Thomas, notifying the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) by Dialing 911 is the first action taken whenever there is an EMERGENT or ACTUAL Medical/Health event in the Church. A staff member who observes the incident, or the Captain of the Hospitality Team on duty during the Liturgy, will make the 911 call. When EMS arrive, the parishioner, or family, involved may accept or decline treatment and/or transport. Staff will request identifying information to assist the 911 personnel and complete the required STA Incident Report.
