Alpha
Is there more to life than my job? More than the routines, responsibilities, and expectations that fill our days? Alpha is an opportunity to explore life’s biggest questions from a Christian perspective in a relaxed, welcoming and friendly environment.
Alpha is built around honest conversation and shared experience. Through light discussion, participants are invited to explore the deepest truths of life, faith, and meaning. Everyone who comes to Alpha brings a different background and perspective on spirituality, belief and community. Those differences are not only welcomed — they are essential to the experience. If you attend a first session and discover Alpha is not for you, there is no pressure or obligation to return.
Each Alpha gathering follows a simple and inviting format. Participants share a meal together, watch a short video that introduces the topic and then break into discussion. These conversations are open, respectful and judgment-free. No question is off-limits, hostile or too simple.
Topics often include: Is there a God? Why am I here? Where do I come from? Where am I going? Who is God? Why pray? Why do bad things happen?
- Alpha is for everyone.
- You are free to share as much or as little as you like, and no prior knowledge or belief in Christianity is assumed.
- Whether you are curious about faith, returning after time away, or simply searching for deeper meaning, you are welcome just as you are.
For many people, it can be difficult to talk about faith and life’s deeper questions with friends or family who may hold different views or have drifted from belief.
Alpha offers a supportive setting to practice listening well, asking thoughtful questions and learning how to walk alongside others with compassion and understanding.
