Thank You from Bishop Patrick Neary, C.S.C.
At the February 4 Mass for peace, those in attendance had the opportunity to sign letters of solidarity for the Church in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. One of the letters was sent to the Diocese of St. Cloud. In response, Bishop Patrick Neary sent this note:
Dear Parishioners of St. Thomas the Apostle,
I cannot tell you what a surprise it was to receive your touching letter to me! When I sent out a message to the Latino families of my Diocese, I never suspected that people in other areas would know about it. It has been hard to see so many innocent and humble families living in such fear and isolation. Knowing that there are such faithful disciples like yourselves who stand in solidarity with these brothers and sisters of ours means more than you know. Your prayers are much appreciated! May God bless all of you with abounding peace and joy as you live out your faith each day. You are truly the light of Christ shining in the darkness.
