Deacon Abel Luviano First Mass and Corpus Christi Procession
With great joy and gratitude, Deacon Abel Luviano will be ordained to the priesthood Saturday, June 6, at the Cathedral. (Please note: this liturgy is ticketed and by invitation only.)
However, our parish celebration will be Sunday, June 7, at the 11:15 am Mass at St. Thomas, where Fr. Abel will celebrate his first Mass; known as a Mass of Thanksgiving. All are warmly invited to be part of this special moment in his priesthood and in the life of our parish.
This day is also the Feast of Corpus Christi. At the conclusion to this Mass, we will continue our celebration with a Corpus Christi Procession in the neighborhood, giving witness to the real presence of Christ among us. After the procession, please join us for a reception as we celebrate Fr. Abel and this joyful day together. Come celebrate, give thanks, and be part of this grace-filled moment for our parish family.
