It Rains Cats and Dogs in Duchity
This past weekend, Fr. Frantzdy sent an email. The email subject line read, “It Rains Cats and Dogs in Duchity.” Here is his recent update:
I hope you are doing well in Jesus’ name.
I want you to inform you that it has been raining for three days in Duchity. The flood of the river at the back of the rectory enters the people’ houses in La Source. Since last night I did host them at gathering area in the basement of the Church. In addition, there is also heavy wind that took off some of the wooden doors of the school. I have just called a craftsman to try to fix them. I hope that they stand till the wind stops completely. For the people who are at the gathering area, I’m doing my best to feed them. They are about 40 to 50.
Please, pray for us for not having more problems with this raining and windy moment.
As we continue to stand in awe of the strength and resilience of the people of Duchity, we also know that they need the strength of our prayers. Please keep Fr. Frantdzy, the people of Duchity and especially those displaced by the flooding in your prayers.
