Deacon Joe and Carolyn Cuzzone have been members of the Faith Community of St. Thomas since 1992. They are the proud parents of 3 adult children, one of whom is married. Ministries that Joe has been active in include the St. Joseph Table Committee, the Men’s Retreat Team, the Knights of Columbus and a men’s discussion group as well as a caregivers discussion group related to the behavioral health ministry. The music ministry has been a major part of his spiritual growth and development with participating as a drummer for the Voices of Faith choir and small group ensembles that include Twist of Faith.
As Joe and Carolyn’s family grew and Joe’s faith journey was being nurtured through serving in ministry, he realized he was being called to serve as a Permanent Deacon. He began the discernment process and applied to the Diaconate Formation Program in 2013. Because of Carolyn’s faith in God and her support as well as that of Joe’s family and the St. Thomas Community, he was ordained in August of 2018.
