A Loving Look at Loss: HOPE Café
Wednesday, August 12, 10:30–12:00 pm
There are many different kinds of losses that can bring grief: the loss of a favorite pet, a special object, a friendship, a job, money, home, failure to get your heart’s desire, conflict in your family and, of course, the death of someone that you love very much.
There are many different experiences that come with grief. Obviously there is sadness but also, there may be anger, guilt, loss of interest in life, doubt in God, hurt from insensitive reactions to your grief, frustration with those trying to “fix you” or who ignore your grief, a need to be alone, a need to be with others, a need to be busy. It’s all real.
You are welcome to join us at the HOPE Café. As one participant said, “I was so grateful to be able to talk about it, to feel supported, and to hear others’ stories.” And it’s an opportunity for prayer.
“Whenever two or more are gathered in my name, there I Am.”
