A Prayer for All Human Life
As Respect Life Month draws to a close, let us pray …
God of all life,
You create each person
in your image
and call every human life sacred.
Open our eyes
to recognize your presence
in the unborn child
and the expectant mother,
in children and families,
in those who are poor,
imprisoned, displaced, or alone,
in people living with illness
or disability,
and in those approaching
the end of life.
Give us the courage to protect the vulnerable,
the compassion to accompany those who struggle,
and the wisdom
to build a community
where every person is welcomed, cherished, and loved.
As Respect Life Month
draws to a close,
may our commitment to human dignity continue
throughout the year.
Help us to choose life, serve life, and bear witness
to the boundless mercy of Christ.
Amen.
