LEAP of Faith
“If you want peace, work for justice.” — Pope Paul VI
The Inclusive Justice Initiative (IJI) invites you to take a LEAP of faith with us … exploring Catholic Social Teaching. This month, when we celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day, the focus is on Care for God’s Creation.
Learn: We want to be good stewards, to recycle, to not litter, but CST asks a little more of us. We are asked to honor the relationship we have with all creation through God’s life-giving spirit. This video explains that connection: https://bit.ly/CSTcreationcare
Explore: Pope Francis, US Bishops and many Catholic theologians have written extensively about our moral obligation to care for our common home. Ecological Spirituality means “We recognize the cosmos as a place of God’s continuing self-revelation and creation.” These links provide explanation and inspiration.

Act: Continue Lenten practices from the Care for Creation Calendar into the new life of Easter: or start new family habits and traditions in the coming outdoor seasons: https://bit.ly/familyCreation
Pray: Stop by the IJI bulletin board outside the chapel to pick up a prayer card honoring God’s creation. Pray daily this month for our beautiful planet. Click here for card.
