LEAP of Faith: Legacy of Pope Francis
As we celebrate our new Pope Leo XIV, we also take time to honor and continue the legacy of Pope Francis.
Learn: Pope Francis modeled hope, humility and service by his words and actions. He initiated conversations, especially about the marginalized, following the ideal set forth by Vatican II to “open the windows and let in the fresh air.”

Act: We each can continue the legacy of Pope Francis by practicing kindness and friendship, corporal and spiritual works of mercy, caring for the environment and solidarity with our neighbor as exemplified by the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Gracious God, Hear our voice as we give thanks for your faithful servant, joining together with profound gratitude. We are indeed grateful for the example and witness he has given the world. Hear our voices as we pray for the future. May decision-makers be filled with humility, wisdom, and compassion. Through the words of Pope Francis, we have received your invitation to be a people of love and compassion. Through his actions, we have received your inspiration to be a people of peace, justice, and solidarity. Guide us to be Pilgrims of Hope — welcoming and supporting all your people and caring for all your creation. Amen.
