St. Thomas Staff

Dorothy has been with St. Thomas since 2018, but her ministry education and experience reach back over 36 years. Dorothy has a bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry (a rich and diverse program that comprised theology, education, and sociology); she is also a certified spiritual director. This background gave Dorothy the spiritual launchpad for a new ministry and position. Dorothy has recently taken on the role of Director of Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship.  

Dorothy describes evangelization like this: “Evangelization is a journey, a process. It is the sharing of one’s experience of how Jesus transformed his/her life and giving witness to the Gospel — who Jesus was, what he did for us, and who he is in our lives today — to help a person come to their own encounter with Jesus. We evangelize by sharing our story as a witness to the Gospel and by the way in which we live our lives.” 

In addition to many years of high school youth and young adult ministry, Dorothy has also participated in other St. Thomas ministries such as being on the behavioral health team (a pastoral care ministry), prayer blanket ministry, liturgical ministry and various service opportunities. Dorothy’s education and well-rounded experience are appreciated by everyone at St. Thomas.
