Thanks and Welcome, Eleanor and Sara
For many years, the Immigration/Refugee Initiative ministry and our St. Nicholas relationship ministry have been lovingly facilitated by Eleanor Wegman. Eleanor has discerned that this is the right time for her to step down from this role.
The OSJ office and volunteers wish to express our profound gratitude to Eleanor. Over the years, her leadership, commitment, hard work and generous spirit have guided us in the accompaniment of immigrants and refugees. Even in challenging moments, she remained hopeful and deeply rooted in faith. Eleanor has been a source of encouragement to immigrant and refugee families, and she has also encouraged and inspired each of us.
Eleanor, what a blessing you have been — and continue to be — to all of us. Thank you.
The OSJ office is also pleased to share that Sara Drever will be stepping in as the new facilitator of these ministries. Sara brings her own gifts, perspective and experience to this role. We are grateful for Sara’s willingness to serve and excited for the gifts she brings to our community.
