Transitional Housing Family Graduates
St. Thomas’ Transitional Housing ministry began supporting a mother and daughter in August 2024. After completing the program, our Transitional Housing mom has moved into her own independent living situation.
During her time in the program, she completed the four Steps to Success, participated in parenting workshops and counseling, and worked with our employment team. She also strengthened her budgeting skills and became very resourceful. Her financial accomplishments include:
- Salary increased from $41,136 at the start of the program to $60,000 at the end of the program.
- All consumer debt was paid off.
- Savings grew from $0 at the start of the program to $37,921 at the end of the program.
- Credit rating improved from 587 at the start of the program to 691 at the end of the program.
As these accomplishments show, she was very successful in the program. While she made tremendous financial progress and built meaningful savings, her growth went far beyond numbers. Throughout the program, she grew as a mother and as an individual. She gained confidence, strengthened her ability to make decisions for her family, and developed the skills needed to live independently. A big part of that growth came from knowing she had people behind her whom she could truly trust.
Thank you for giving this Transitional Housing family a safe and consistent foundation while she learned that she could do it on her own. She is leaving the program with greater confidence, independence and belief in herself. This is the lasting impact you helped make possible!
