What YOU Would Do
During the month of June, the What Would You Do bulletin board presented a scenario about an LGBTQ+ rally and how you would react.
Although some simply selected their action from the choices presented, there were also some additional suggestions for action.
One respondent commented, “I would not be at a pro- or anti- LGBTQ rally. I will ask God to bring individuals into my life who I can love, dialogue with, and learn from.”
Another person wrote, “I would take this display down” to which a second person voiced agreement and another commented their hurt over these remarks.
Strong feelings and emotions were shared. One of the purposes of the What Would You Do bulletin board displays is to encourage discussion If you are interested in meeting in person to share situations you’ve encountered and to discuss ways that we can promote respect and dignity in our communication, plans are in the works to offer a follow-up session this coming fall.
