Where do I donate items once the SVdP bins are removed?

Each of these donation sites have different guidelines, and some of them can only accept specific items. Phone numbers and websites are listed next to each organization. We suggest reaching out to verify that the items you intend to donate will be accepted.

Wayside Cross Ministries

Call 888.723.5730 to request pickup of large items. Drop clothing and shoes in one of their drop-off bins. A map of drop-off bins can be found at www.waysidecross.org/donating-goods/. Some bins near St. Thomas are located at Grace United Methodist Church, New Covenant Church and River Glen Presbyterian Church. Drop items off at their warehouse behind 215 E. New York St. in Aurora from 9:00 am–3:30 pm Monday–Saturday.

You can drop off donations during hours of operation. Pick up may be available for larger items. Please call 630.397.8555 to discuss possible pickup.

DuPage Pads

Specific items are always needed for residents. Visit www.dupagepads.org/donation-items/ to view a current list. PADS does not accept furniture.

 

Please note: DuPage Pads asks that all used clothing and other non-new material donations be placed in the large white donations receptacle located at 601 W. Liberty Wheaton, IL 60187

Mutual Ground Women’s Shelter

Mutual Ground is a secure facility which supports victims of domestic violence. A calendar of donation days and times as well as a wish list can be found on their website, www.mutualground.org/inkind-donations

People’s Resource Center Wheaton and Westmont

Clothing donations can be dropped off at both locations. There are some seasonal guidelines and they ask that clothes be laundered. Pajamas and sleepwear, accessories, shoes and undergarments (new only) are accepted year-round.
