Deacon Chuck Lane was ordained in September of 1997. The following year he retired from AT&T at the end of a 30 year career. He worked for 22 years at Western Electric in Montgomery IL.and the last 8 years for AT&T in Warrenville. IL.
Deacon Chuck is involved in prison ministry at St Thomas and has volunteered for over 15 years at the Illinois Youth Center in Warrenville. He also volunteers at local nursing homes in Naperville and is an active member of the Pax Christi Ministry. He is currently working with Mexican immigrants who are studying for their citizenship test at Centro Christo Rey in Aurora. He is the staff representative to the Bread of Life Committee and is a active member of the St. Thomas Men’s Fellowship Group.
Deacon Chuck has been married to his wife Sue for 42 years. They have three adult children and six grandchildren. Deacon Chuck’s focus is to raise awareness on the many issues regarding peace and justice and in trying to get more people involved in working toward needed changes on those issues.
